For a while now, Windows phone users have relied on third party apps to fill the Instagram sized void in their lives – but the wait is over. Instagram is coming to Windows Phone users in the coming weeks.
Instagram co-founder and CEO Kevin Systrom was quoted saying;
“Our ultimate goal is to bring Instagram to everyone who wants to use it,” “We’re looking forward to watching the Windows Phone community use Instagram to capture and share beautiful moments in the coming weeks.”
Although it may not sound like a huge deal to some, for Windows Phone it is. It signals to application developers that the platform is important enough to garner the official support of one of the most popular apps, worldwide.
Other apps are also jumping on board the Windows Phone including Flipboard and Vine.
