Summer 2017 – Social Media Intern:

UNICEF USA seeks a Social Media intern who is interested in Social Media and online marketing. This internship will provide an opportunity to:

  • Enhance their photo research for topics covered by UNICEF programs
  • Hone organizational skills
  • Learn about Insight tools available on social media platforms
  • Learn how to draft social media ads and posts related to UNICEF

Key Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to online marketing efforts for UNICEF Market
  • Conduct research and partake in the enhancement of website optimization
  • Brainstorm and develop new strategies to increase social media engagement
  • Curate user-generated content
  • Collaborate on tracking campaigns and reporting results on research findings
  • Perform other assignments as assigned


  • Must be a current student enrolled at a college or university degree program
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and great attention to detail
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • English, Marketing, and Communications majors preferred
  • Familiar with all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Google+ strongly preferred
  • Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA
  • Must demonstrate UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service


Time Frame:  Summer 2017

Days per week:  Flexible
